In the Russian climate the citrus can be parted only in the apartment. Many fans successfully grow up lemons and oranges on windowsill. Actually in room gardening it is possible to grow up any representative of family of citrus.

1. The orchard in the apartment looks attractively. Citrus blossoms in beautiful, exotic, fragrant flowers. Fruits at them rather bright, and foliage in itself serves as decoration of interior. You should not count on grandiose harvest. But to regale on the exotic fruit which are grown up on windowsill, quite perhaps.
2. It is possible to buy ready sapling in shop, but to thicket citrus grows up from seeds or shanks. By seeds – longer, but it is more interesting. It is possible to watch its development from tiny sprout until blossoming and fructification.
3. Grow up citrus in big containers. Best of all plastic containers will approach – they are easy and convenient. Indispensable condition is availability of drainage holes. On bottom of container fill up drainage – haydite, polyfoam, stones. Then – pochvosmes for citruses. Also put previously germinated stones or replace the trees bought in shop.
4. All citrus needs bright, but diffused light. It is the best of all to grow up them on the southern and east windowsills, and in the summer during heat – pritenyat. Citrus is not so exacting to temperature and humidity as many think of them. It rather standard room temperature +20 … 22 °C and periodic spraying of leaves.
5. Frequency of watering of citrus depends on season. In the winter it is less intensive. The more on plant of leaves, the more it is required to it moisture. During blossoming and infructescence the norm of watering increases too. At room citrus it is necessary to loosen the soil often. They need continuous aeration of roots.
6. Fertilizers it is necessary for room citrus more, than to their "fellows" in the open ground of tropical countries. In the substrate bought in shop, there last nutrients for two months. Therefore regular fertilizing, especially and is necessary in the spring in the summer. You should not be fond of nitrogen fertilizers – they will cause abundant sheet weight to the detriment of fructification. The full balanced complex of microelements is suitable for citrus.
7. The majority of citrus does not need scrap, but in room gardening they are cut off to slow down growth and to give to krone the beautiful form. The scheme of forming of krone at citrus one – the central escape is cut at the height of 20 cm. From side leave 4 - it is branches of the first order. On each of them leave on two – branches of the second order. On them form from 3 to 5 branches of the third order on which the gain of the fourth order is formed. On gain of the fourth order the fructification also begins.
