1. Coneflowers love open solar places (however transfer small shadow) and fertile light soils – it is desirable clay and in advance fertilized by humus or compost. The coneflower should replace to the new place of times in five years.
2. All coneflowers, except terry grades of long-term types, breed the seeds keeping viability for three years. That by July of plant have blossomed, place seeds in the open ground at the end of March - the beginning of April (after spring frosts). Powder seeds with thin layer of the earth and water a little. The distance between plants has to make not less than 40 cm. Young coneflowers have to ascend in 2-3 weeks.
3. After emergence of sprouts the soil constantly has to be slightly damp. It is abundant water coneflowers, especially during heat.
4. In time delete all weeds around plants. The high stalk of coneflower should be tied to support, and during the period of blossoming also to cut half. At the end of fall cut off flowers at the roots.
5. From insects wreckers and diseases of coneflower do not suffer. However the plant is required to be fertilized. The first fertilizing is brought at the very beginning of growth of coneflowers. Part in 10 liters of water one tablespoon of sulfate of potassium and as much to nitrophoska and "Agricola for the blossoming plants". Use three liters of solution on one square meter. You carry out the second fertilizing in three weeks after the first. Also complex fertilizers with nitrogen and potassium approach (and nitrogen has to be more, than potassium).
6. If in due time to break deflowered "baskets" of coneflower, it is possible to prolong the period of its blossoming.
