1. Bring bank sand to improve structure of heavy clay soil. This measure will provide air circulation, necessary for roots of plants and also will reduce stagnation of water if the summer is too rainy. Thanks to this material the nutrients brought under flowers will not be washed away so quickly in the lower soil layers, inaccessible for plants. And in the droughty summer you should not water the flower bed every day. Peat bogs, most likely, need lime application. With rare exception, they have the high pH level that has negative effect also on the extent of colors, and on blossoming duration.
