Many people begin to grow up flowers of the house or on the garden site to calm down and remove stress after working everyday life – communication with plants always weakens. Everyone can seize skills of successful floriculture – only observance of the basic rules is required.
Instruction
1. Provide sufficient intake of light. The deficiency of sunlight, as well as its surplus, perniciously affects development of plants. It is necessary to create conditions for flower cultivation in strict accordance with requirements of culture – some flowers need impact of direct sunlight, others well grow in the shaded sites. During the winter period it is necessary to grow up flowers with application of additional lighting – daylight lamps or halogen sources perfectly cope with this task. At installation of artificial lighting count optimum distance from flower – usually 25-30 centimeters. In such conditions flower will receive necessary amount of light and not to come under influence of thermal radiation from lamp.
2. Control indoor temperature. Flowers need different temperatures – from tropical microclimate in the room, up to the standard temperatures. Temperature reduction always causes delay of growth of plant therefore some wintering cultures should be moved for a while in cool rooms. Year-round flowers usually demand constant heat, at the increased temperatures they well grow and blossom. The exception is made by flowers which demand the humidified condition of soil – to keep the required humidity level, it is necessary to control air temperature indoors and not to allow increase from above 30oc.
3. Water flowers correctly. The basic rule is not to allow rotting of roots. The excess of moisture in soil does more harm, than shortcoming. Insufficient watering, in turn, leads to drying of the soil and the root system of flowers. Therefore water flowers during those periods when all moisture is almost spent. Do not use for watering of flowers tap water as the microelements which are contained in it are capable to break growth and functioning of plants. Settle water and water flowers with the same tap water, previously otstoyanny or filtered.
