Tomato or tomato – the plant South American by origin from family of nightshade family which has won popularity worldwide thanks to the fleshy and juicy fruits. The tomato differs in quite long period of vegetation, and therefore, in the conditions of midland of Russia, is not sowed in soil, and lands seedling.

- - Mikroparnik soil;

- - the washed-out sand;
- - fluorescent lamp.
Instruction
1. To start cultivation of seedling, usually, recommend to choose the middle or the end of March. Having seeded seeds in February, you risk by the time of planting of seedling to the open ground to receive already blossoming plants which will take root very long. Before crops some gardeners disinfect seeds in strong solution of potassium permanganate within fifteen minutes. After such processing the seeds should be washed out in flowing water.
2. Prepare seeds, for eighteen hours having killed them in the Epina-ekstra solution prepared at the rate of four drops of medicine on half of glass of boiled water of room temperature.
3. Prepare soil for seeds. For this purpose in any suitable capacity fill layer of the mix consisting of the equal number of the cespitose earth, the humous earth and the washed-out sand. Thickness of earth layer has to be no more than five-six centimeters. Quite good results are yielded by sowing of seeds in Mikroparnik soil. As a rule, this soil is packaged in packages from dark polyethylene of tags for cutting under holes.
4. Moisten earth mix and seed the prepared seeds on depth of one and a half centimeter. If you use Mikroparnik, close up two sunflower seeds in each cell then to leave one strongest plant. If there was at your disposal container without marking under holes, carry out grooves at distance of two-three centimeters from each other and close up seeds in them.
5. Put containers with seeds to the room with air temperature from twenty to twenty five degrees. It is desirable paste on container the index with the name of grade and date of crops. If you use open containers with the earth, cover them with glass or film to hold moisture. Qualitative seeds will sprout within one-two weeks.
6. After seeds sprout, place containers on windowsill. In the morning and in the evening seedling will need additional illumination by the luminescent lamp. From time to time humidify the soil in containers, but do not allow its overwetting.
7. When seedlings have four real, that is not cotyledonous leaves, plants it is necessary to dive in separate pots. Sometimes for sword-play of seedling use the liter packages from under milk which are cut off on quarter of height. Before planting of seedling to the open ground these packages can just be cut and removed from earth lump.
8. Before sword-play it is abundant water seedlings, take them from containers and you prishchipnit root on third of length. Make opening in soil, place in it seedling to cotyledonous leaflets and press it the earth by means of the pikirovochny peg thrust sideways from hole.
9. For half-month before planting of seedling to the open ground it is necessary to temper plants. For this purpose in warm weather for one-two hours take out seedling on balcony. If sunny weather, put tomatoes in shadow not to burn leaves. Gradually increase time during which seedling is in the open air.
10. After spring frosts end, seedling can be planted to the open ground.
