All people without exception like these tasty and useful berries. Each person having though is a little earth, can independently grow up strawberry on personal plot.
With approach of spring and warm days it is possible to begin to be engaged in landing of strawberry on the kitchen garden. For this purpose prepare the earth: dig over, introduce necessary fertilizers and carefully water. Humus is better to use fertilizers organic origin, for example. All landing area is separated into several beds and between them leave passes, for harvesting. Still it is desirable to put different grades also on separate beds.
The strawberry bush undertakes, the small blade moves apart small deepening in the earth, it is lowered there and from above powder with the earth, and then condense the soil around bush with hands a little. It is the best of all to plant bushes on more densely, approximately on 12-15 pieces on 1 sq.m. Dense thickets of strawberry will save each other in hot year from the sun, and in rainy – from excessive precipitation. After landing the good watering of plants is required again.
In principle moisture is required to strawberry moderately. If have put in damp places, then carry out watering not really often, and on dry sandy soils it is better to water daily, especially at the time of education and reddening of berries. Also this berry very much loves the sun and therefore plant it on spacious places. In process of growth of plant and especially in rainy years it is necessary to make adding around bushes of sawdust, fir cones or peat – it will allow berries not to become covered by mold and to manage to ripen.
During blossoming and maturing on strawberry there can be mustache which are removed by breaking. And here after the end of harvesting, it is better to leave mustache as through them there is reproduction of plant. At the beginning of summer it is obligatory to make scarification under bushes.
What grades to choose is already prerogative of each gardener separately, but it is better to use those which will fructify all season.
Before winter it is the best of all to mow strawberry late fall, leaving only small sprouts. It will allow to endure to plant cold frosts and to please with harvest the next year.
