Graceful and beautiful lilies will become decoration of any garden. Care for these flowers has the features, but if to provide all possible problems and to grow up lilies according to rules of leaving, then the result will exceed all expectations.
Instruction
1. Choose bulbs. Decide on grade of flowers and start the choice of planting stock. The bulb of lily has to be large and strong, well painted (for some grades). The dense structure of bulb should not contain signs of decay. Too it is better not to buy bulbs with the sprouted long escapes – boring has to be whole and only look out of bulb.
2. Choose the suitable site. The soil has to be well trained as roots of flowers quickly rot at stagnation of water. Choose open solar areas with small shadow, without trees and with evenly moistened soil.
3. Prepare soil. It is better to grow up lilies on fertile, nutritious soils therefore before landing fertilize the site manure or humus. The soil has to pass well moisture therefore mix the dense earth with sand – so water will not stand. Mineral fertilizers in the form of saltpeter, superphosphate and potash salt will increase nutritiousness of soil, it is possible to add a little ashes.
4. Plant bulbs. Plant bulbs on depth about 10 centimeters. From above powder the place of landing with straw or dry grass. Provide conditions for growth.
5. Water lilies regularly at the roots, trying not to get water on leaves. Mulch landings for the purpose of moisture preservation, without loosening the soil (not to damage escapes). Regularly fertilize the soil (the humus divorced in water, mineral complexes), especially insufficiently fertile. Young escapes need to be protected from spring frosts, and for winter of plant it is necessary to cover. Weed sites, deleting unnecessary weeds which shade flowers and complicate their airing. From time to time hill lilies – it stimulates germination of additional backs from what flowers become larger.
