2. Seeds of long-term phloxes quickly lose viability and therefore it is impossible to wait till spring. In addition, for normal development of plants the planting stock has to be chilled. Begin to prepare for landing already right after collecting. Choose the site on which flowers will be able to grow several years. Consider at the same time that phloxes badly feel in the shaded places and in boggy lowlands. And consequently, under dense crowns they cannot be sowed.
3. Be engaged in preparation of the soil. It has to be nutritious and friable. It will provide long and magnificent blossoming. In the earth there should not be large amount of sand, phloxes do not like also heavy sour soils. On similar lands the shoots, most likely, will not appear. The bed or bed need to be prepared to the first frosts.
4. It is the best of all to carry out crops of long-term phloxes in November or in December. Deadline – January, but not later. The crops by spring — the less probability will be closer that seeds will ascend. Snow should not frighten you, just clean from it bed.
5. On the exposed to frost surface of bed spread out seeds. Optimum distance are 5-6 cm from each other. Fill from above thin layer the normal garden earth. It can be prepared in advance or to buy in garden and garden shop. It is not obligatory to do layer continuous, just powder seeds. Powder bed with snow and wait for spring. When using such way almost all seeds ascend in the spring and the most part of plants blossoms.
6. At cultivation of annual phloxes prepare bed as well as for perennial plants. It is possible to do it both in the spring, and in the fall. On the surface of the soil scatter seeds at distance of 3-4 cm. Water them from watering can and cover with polyethylene film. It is not necessary to powder with the earth. Every day for a short time remove film that plants breathed a little, shake from it condensate. After seeds sprout, remove film absolutely.
