1. Begin to sow seeds of pansies in forcing containers in the middle end of February. Take them and lay out in one layer on gauze. Moisten fabric and leave for day. After this time moisten seeds with warm water and leave for 12 hours.
2. Take forcing container and make in it several openings. Fill in it fertile substrate. It can be bought in shop or to prepare independently. In the latter case it is necessary to take the cespitose or sheet soil and to mix with compost in the ratio 1:1. Then mix is sifted through garden sieve, and then filled in the prepared box.
3. Make in forcing containers superficial grooves – no more than 1.5 cm. Lay out in them seeds. Distribute them evenly and not too densely. Fill up seeds with the moistened substrate and trample down a few soil. 7-12 days later the first shoots will appear. You do not hurry to land them to the open ground. It is necessary to wait when at plants is on several leaflets.
4. One week prior to planting of pansies carry out the procedure of training. For this purpose begin to take out seedling on open sunshine for 30-50 minutes. Gradually increase time of stay of plants out of the room.
5. Begin planting of pansies to the open ground. In advance prepare beds – make their weeding and fertilizer. Planting of plants is required to be done at distance from each other in 15-20 cm as they in the subsequent will well expand. Then carefully trample down the soil and make its moistening.
6. For abundant blossoming of pansies it is necessary to adhere to frequent watering, especially in hot weather (3-4 times a week). In addition, regular fertilizing is necessary for these plants (1 time in 2-3 weeks). It is necessary to enter into the soil mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus) and special microelements. It is admissible to use superphosphate in number of 25 grams on 1 sq.m.
