Pepper is quite exacting to soil. To grow up pepper and to receive big crop, it is necessary to choose for landing fertile, friable sandy or loamy soils with good structure and moistening. Pepper can be landed into place where carrots, onions and bean cultures grew (except for haricot). It is not recommended to use the earth after eggplants, tomatoes and potatoes.
For cultivation of pepper it is more preferable to choose the site from sunny side protected from cold and strong wind. If landing is carried out on loamy soils, to soil add the rerotting sawdust, the rotted-through manure and peat, to proportions (1:1:2 in buckets on 1 sq.m). For clayey ground add also coarse-grained sand (1 bucket).
In the peat soil bring humus and the cespitose earth (1 bucket on 1 sq.m). For the sandy soil about 2 buckets of peat, loamy soil, humus and also 1 bucket of sawdust are recommended to bring.
As a rule, to grow up pepper, it is necessary to prepare seedling. Pepper loves heat therefore at first couch seeds in house conditions. Several weeks prior to crops (2 or 3 weeks) the seeds of pepper should be checked for viability. After check they need to be laid out on plate with small amount of water and to maintain at temperature of 25 °C. Boring appears for the fifth day. It is possible to plumb hardening of seeds – to change temperature within week. For this purpose seeds process nutritious solution, and then place for two days in the fridge, at temperature from 2 to 5 °C. After that seeds are put for one day to the warm place to 18 °C and removed for two days in the fridge. Having carried out hardening, seeds should be sowed in special box at once. As a rule, it is better to sow pepper on seedling on January 15-20. However this term depends on landing time of seedling to the open ground. It is possible to carry out crops of seeds and in the middle of March, but in this case it is necessary to take care of additional artificial lighting by fluorescent lamps about a month – from receiving shoots prior to seedling sword-play in separate pots. Power carrying capacity of lamps - 40 or 80 W. The main component of care for seedling of pepper is regular watering, fertilizing and keeping of temperature condition. After holding sword-play seedling can be removed pots on windowsill, at the same time, having created moderate intake of light - windows close for couple of days. That your seedling was beautiful and was not bent, pots with pepper need to be developed periodically.
