Peat tablets – fast and easy way for cultivation of seedling of vegetables. The tablet represents the pressed peat having height about 8 mm and tightened in thin grid. Above each washer has small deepening for seeds.
Instruction
1. For use the peat tablets need to be soaked previously in weak solution of potassium permanganate or in plain warm water. Wait when washers increase in the amount of and in form will turn into small cylinder. At maceration diameter of tablet remains the same.
2. Put each sunflower seed in special deepening for seedling and slightly press it inside. To press small seeds, it is possible to use backup, for example, the pipette. For this purpose on substrate with seeds add small amount of water and transfer them to tablets by means of the pipette.
3. Place tablets in transparent containers from plastic and cover with covers. Advantage of plastic ware is that it well passes light and promotes creation of the microclimate promoting germination of seeds. Also well the special box will be suitable for seedling.
4. Wait for emergence of the first shoots. At emergence of the first sprouts it is possible to replace plants in pots together with tablet, and then seedling can already be transferred to soil.
5. For fertilizing of plants it is the best of all to use the liquid fertilizers from organic materials (humates) allowing to accelerate growth of seedling. If plants, on the contrary, too quickly develop, apply superphosphate solution in proportion 3 tablespoons on 10 liters of water. It is better to water tablets from spray, and in night-time at cultivation it is the best of all to use daylight lamps.
