The standard forms of ornamental shrubs looking as graceful medium-sized trees with direct thin trunk and magnificent krone are often used by landscape designers for decoration of gardens. On shtamba grow up roses, some types of decorative willow, number of houseplants and berry bushes. The standard form is created by inoculation or forming of kornesobstvenny plant by cutting.

Instruction
1. The stock for standard roses is grown up from frost-resistant dogrose with strong root system. Dogrose to grow up from seeds is possible or to dig out well developed annual seedling of green hedge. Seedlings land at distance of thirty centimeters between plants. Within two years future stock should not be cut off.
2. In the spring of the third year the dogrose should be cut off, having removed all unbranched escapes. From direct escapes which will grow in the summer leave two strongest. In August the tops of these escapes should be prishchipnut.
3. At cultivation of stocks in the conditions of nursery next spring the dogrose is planted on the budding site. In the conditions of garden it is possible to move the grown-up stock on the constant place at once. At the same time at plant leave only one direct escape, completely cut out all other young growth. It is necessary to remove the damaged roots and to cut the longest.
4. Before landing dip plant roots in mix of clay and water to which the heteroauxin tablet is added. Plant dogrose so that the root neck has been closed by the earth. The soil around plant should be condensed.
5. During the summer delete all young growth which will appear below that place where the krone will be formed. For krone leave about five escapes. It is the best of all to delete escapes which appear on trunk while they are green. At the end of July or the beginning of August on grown up shtamb it is possible to impart buds of high-quality roses.
6. For receiving kornesobstvenny standard form use the implanted shanks of cultural plant. In such a way it is possible to create red currant or gooseberry. For rooting cut off shank with five kidneys and plant in soil so that over earth surface there was only one kidney. It is necessary to do it in July.
7. If you are going to grow up standard gooseberry, choose branch for rooting and press it to the earth pin. After emergence of roots the branch can be separated from bush and to plant in soil.
8. Next spring kidneys of the taken roots shank will begin to sprout. For forming of shtamb leave one escape, delete the others in process of their emergence. Delete weeds around shank. Once a month plant it is necessary to feed up solution of fertilizers. At the beginning of summer use nitrogen fertilizers, at the end – potash and phosphoric.
9. In year the escape of currant is cut off at the height about eighty centimeters. Leave four upper kidneys from which the krone will be created, remove other kidneys. Escapes which will grow from the remained kidneys in year can be cut, having left four kidneys on everyone.
