Bonsai, art of cultivation of the tiny copy of adult tree, has arisen in China, but is associated, mainly, with Japan. Exactly there the system of styles which define exterior of plant has been developed. 1. Choose plant for cultivation bonsai. For this purpose any tree about which maintenance in room conditions at you will not arise problems will approach. Begin to form one-year-old plant. Depending on what way is more convenient for you, you can grow up this plant from sunflower seed or shank.
2. Pick up container for plant. The bonsai is grown up in superficial clay flat dishes at which as all who are engaged in cultivation of these plants emphasize, there have to be large drainage holes. It is the best of all if the container costs on legs.
3. On bottom of container put grid with size of cell of three millimeters. The grid will not allow the soil to be washed away through drainage holes. On grid layer in two centimeters fill drainage. Coarse sand, the granulated clay or small haydite will approach. On drainage fill layer of the soil mix half consisting of bank sand and half of the soil recommended for that plant which you are going to grow up.
4. Before landing at young plant it is necessary to cut off core root, and to cut side roots, approximately, on one third. Straighten roots in the horizontal plane and place sapling in soil. As a rule, at bonsai when landing the root neck remains open.
5. It is necessary to water plant with the otstoyanny or filtered soft water. Water temperature has to be slightly higher than room. Some experts recommend to acidify slightly water before watering as subacidic reaction of the soil facilitates cultivation of moss which is necessary component bonsai in many styles. For acidulation of water add to it three grams of citric acid on ten liters of water. It is recommended to water plant so that water has begun to flow from drainage holes.
6. For moisture control of soil it is possible to use soil moisture sensor. It is necessary to repeat watering after the earth dries up for forty percent.
7. As soon as the plant takes root after change, it is necessary to start forming of krone according to the chosen style. Cut off plant on height of future trunk, more precisely, than shtamb. After cutting the continuation of trunk will be created from the upper kidney, and the lowermost side branch will grow from the kidney second from above. The escapes which have appeared under the first side branch delete subsequently.
8. When the escape continuing trunk grows by length equal to length of shtamb, it is cut off on third again so that it was possible to create the second side branch from the kidney second from above. Thus the plant is formed, will not reach the required height yet. After that all branches are cut off evenly.
9. To create trunk deviation from vertical or curvature of side branches, on plant the aluminum or copper wire is imposed then the trunk and branches are accurately bent. On young escapes more than six months do not recommend to hold wire, otherwise it will grow into bark. Remove wire, having a bite it nippers, but not unwinding.
10. In two years it is recommended to replace bonsai in fresh soil. At the same time it is necessary to truncate roots on two thirds of length. The plant krone at the same time is cut off in the same proportion. After change the tree follows is abundant to water.
