Cultivation of violets from sheet shanks is, perhaps, the easiest way of their reproduction. Unlike cultivation of many exotic plants, process of rooting of shanks of violet is not connected with additional difficulties and, following several simple advice, you can receive quite viable young plant from leaf.
It is required to you
- - leaf of violet;
- - small capacity from dark glass;
- - wood charcoal;
- - haydite or any other drainage;
- - sheet earth;
- - riding peat;
- - sphagnum.
Instruction
1. For cherenkovaniye choose healthy leaf from the second or third row if to consider from the lower part of the socket. The sheet shank has to be strong, green, without signs of drying up or decayed. Separate leaf from the socket and cut off shank sharp knife at an angle in forty five degrees. The cut of shank has to dry up slightly, for this purpose leave it on air for half an hour.
2. Most often sheet shanks implant in water. That to make it, take dark glass capacity with narrow neck, fill it with the boiled or settled water of room temperature and put shank there. Capacity with shank should be held in the lit place, but to avoid hit on leaf of direct sunshine.
3. From time to time check condition of shank. If it has begun to begin to rot, cut off it again, dry cut within forty minutes, having wrapped sheet plate in damp fabric, and process the place of cut wood charcoal. After that the shank can be put in clear water again. You watch height of water. If it has gone down, add to the capacity of boiled water of room temperature.
4. The shank should be landed in soil mix when it has backs length centimeter – one and a half. Some flower growers prefer to keep leaf in water before emergence of the young sheet socket in the shank basis, but at the same time there is danger that part of shank and young leaves will manage to begin to rot. For preparation of landing mix take two parts of the sheet earth, one part of riding peat and two parts of sphagnum. Small capacity like plastic cup from set of disposable tableware will be suitable for landing of shank. Make opening in day of glass and fill haydite on bottom. From above lay out well mixed and moistened soil mix and put the implanted shank on depth no more than one centimeter. Water the implanted shank of room temperature. You can cover capacity with shank transparent glass jar or plastic bag.
5. When the basis of shank has young sheet sockets with a diameter of four – five centimeters, carefully take out plant from glass, separate young growth and seat on separate pots.
