The furnace potbelly stove still remains relevant and is at the population in great demand. It is easy-to-work, and thanks to folding design it can easily be moved. The main function of the potbelly stove is heating of small rooms: dachas, greenhouses, garages, etc. But the furnace has essential minus: it quickly heats up and also quickly cools down. For increase in thermal capacity the potbelly stove should be imposed with brick.

Instruction
1. Think over design of the furnace as it has to look as a result. It can just be imposed with brick, to frame with fireplace, etc. However before starting construction of the brick screen, get acquainted with various grades of construction material and choose suitable goods as not everything that is offered, is suitable for these purposes. For example, the lime sand brick collapses at exposure of fire and temperature drop, emitting at the same time toxic agents therefore it should not be used at facing of the furnace and construction of the base for it. Optimal variant for your purpose will be special oven or red universal.
2. Make sure that sexual logs can sustain the mass of the furnace and coating bricks. If there are doubts, strengthen them by means of additional support. Construction of individual footing will become the ideal decision. But anyway it is necessary to heat-insulate floor and to protect it from fire. For example, to put the sheet of iron, and from above on it – brick site.
3. Prepare solution for laying. Remember that for oven works mix of clay, sand and water in certain proportions is used. In 2-3 days before works fill in clay with water at the rate of 1:2 (if it dry) or 1:1 (at damp). Periodically it stir slowly. Then gradually adding the fine, sifted sand, make mixture. It has to turn out uniform, flexible and not stick to metal trowel. And if to roll from it ball, it will not crumble and burst.
4. Further make laying in ½ bricks. Do not forget to leave gap between bricks and iron (about 5 cm). It is necessary in order that walls of the furnace could extend freely during heating, without destroying laying. Surely from below and from above leave air vents (pro-spirits) for air convection.
