How to increase generator capacity

How to increase generator capacity

All of us taught the physicist at school. And all of us know that the generator is necessary for receiving electric current in the engine. Generators happen variable and constant currents. In engines of cars, motorcycles, mopeds, scooters alternating current generators are used.

Instruction

1. It is well-known that the alternating current generator consists of two parts: stator and rotor. The stator, as follows from the name, is motionless part of the generator which consists of several windings and the collector. The collector removes stress arising on rotor winding and gives it to consumption chain.

2. The rotor – mobile part of the generator. It consists of several permanent magnets on which the winding from copper wire is reeled up. Theoretically, for increase in generator capacity it is required to replace rotor winding, applying wire of bigger section and having increased bias current.

3. Practically, we will try to make it. Stock up with copper wire of the necessary diameter, combination pliers, technical gloves and patience. First of all, draw the scheme of winding of coils of the rotor and unwind coils, without forgetting to write down quantity of rounds, their arrangement and the scheme of exits. It is important.

4. The unwound wire is impregnated with varnish. The coils of the rotor exempted from wire need to be washed and degreased. Do this operation. For this purpose also simple house means will be suitable for washing of ware.

5. Take the prepared copper wire and it is accurate, without hurrying, round to round, reel up it on coils. That the wire has laid down directly and beautifully, it should be pulled. It is quite hard and tiresome. Write down quantity of rounds.

6. Upon termination of winding smooth out the ends of wires and check them tester regarding "short circuit", then insulate exits and solder them to contacts.

7. Further, impregnate all winding with special impregnating varnish, dry it. Solder connecting wires.
