1. Before planting of seeds of asters it is necessary to carry out their preparation. It consists in processing in various ways. The first step of preparation – survey. Seeds of asters it is necessary to examine and sort carefully having mechanical damages or with traces of mold and unpleasant smell.
2. The selected seeds, suitable for crops, are retted. The procedure of soaking is designed to start the mechanism of germination and to accelerate this process and also to make active the "fallen asleep" seeds. For soaking it is necessary to take the flat capacity (plastic or ceramic superficial flat dish), to place in it water-permeable fabric (several layers of gauze) or porous sponge. To pour a little water that it has moistened fabric or sponge. To distribute seeds on fabric thin layer or to enclose in sponge cells. To define to the warm place (+28 … 30 °C) or to constantly add hot water (to +60 °C). The increased temperature stimulates germination. To hold until seeds bulk up.
3. It is possible to combine soaking with stratification. This procedure well intensifies growth processes. Use option with flat dish water and cellular sponge, only place seeds not in heat, and in the fridge.
4. Preparatory training needs to be applied if seeds of asters land not on seedling, and in soil and in the early spring. Before training the seeds are located to the warm place (as for soaking, it is possible even to put capacity with the wetted seeds on the battery). 5. Before the landing already well bulked up seeds should be disinfected. to insure from wreckers and different infections which expect them in the open ground. Potassium permanganate solution – the best disinfectant. On 100 ml of water 1 g of permanganate of potassium undertakes. Solution carefully mixes up, seeds for half an hour plunge into it. Then seeds are washed out in flowing water, dried up at the room temperature on clean gauze and land in the moistened soil.
