Window conditioners – some their earliest representatives of extensive family of the climatic equipment. Having for the first time appeared in the 30th of the XX century in the United States, they are in great demand to this day. In many respects the great popularity of these household appliances is explained by their high reliability and simplicity in installation. Unlike difficult Split systems even the ordinary qualified mechanic can install window conditioners.
Instruction
1. Installation of the window conditioner business though not really difficult, but demanding certain knowledge and accuracy. Therefore before getting to work, it is necessary to study the instruction of the producer attentively. The design of the window conditioner represents the uniform monoblock which all mechanisms of the device are built in. The conditioner directly in window or in the wall, next to it, is installed if its thickness allows (it has to be not less than 15 cm). For this purpose first of all the rectangular aperture is created, at 10-15 mm in size it is more, than conditioner dimensions.
2. The place for installation of the window conditioner should be chosen taking into account that on it dirt and precipitation did not get. It is more preferable to place the device in shadow, without direct hit of sunshine. It is important to consider that the external openings of the conditioner (blinds) located on each side the body and from above have to be open. Them it is impossible to close up the conditioner in wall at all or to close something, otherwise access of air will be strongly complicated and it can lead to breakage of the device.
3. The frame with slope from steel angular section is inserted into the prepared aperture. The frame strongly is fixed in aperture with small inclination so that the bottom edge of external part of the conditioner was a little below than edge of internal part. Such situation provides faster draining of condensate.
4. The remained gaps between walls of aperture and the body of the conditioner are filled with polyurethane foam. It is worth paying attention that some modern models of window conditioners are equipped with removable external casing. In this case it is not required to do special frame – the window conditioner is installed in the removable casing which is built in the prepared aperture.
5. Features of connection of the device to current network depend on its power. Low-power household conditioners can be quite connected through normal electrical plug. However more powerful systems require creation of separate wiring and connection via the individual automatic machine. In this case it is necessary to call the qualified electrician who will be able to perform this work according to safety instructions.
