The bungalow is rather small one-storey building with flat roof in which one family, as a rule, lives. There is however also special exotic style of bungalow. It perfectly is suitable for registration of one-storey owner-occupied dwellings, but it is possible to use it and at arrangement of the normal city apartment. The style of bungalow has come to us from the Provinces of Bengal and was quite often used for registration of the American houses at the end of the 19th century. Nevertheless, its exoticism attracts people to this day, and the style of bungalow is still popular in many countries of the world.
The style of bungalow has several characteristics and rules of registration of interiors. The most important line of style – proximity to the nature. It is very important to remember it at registration of interior: exclude synthetic materials, expressly futuristic elements, etc. The luxury, set of decorative elements is also absolutely inappropriate. On the contrary, the interior has to be functional, laconic, simple. The minimum quantity of elements allows to broaden visually rooms that is also important for style of bungalow. Ideal option – the built-in furniture and also transforming furniture. If in rooms there are niches, in them it is possible to put household appliances or furniture for storage.
"Naturalness" of style is expressed also in color gamma. The natural, muffled shades are preferable: sand, brown, straw, white, black, green, red. You should not build interior on contrast. Shades of elements have to be combined harmoniously with each other.
The location of rooms is of particular importance. Traditionally in the house issued in style of bungalow, the living room has to be located in the center, and all other rooms – around it. Important feature of style of bungalow – horizontal orientation. Additional floors, partitions, ladders, division of placements on functional zones by means of vertically directed elements will be inappropriate.
At registration of rooms in style of bungalow it is necessary to use tree. This material is appropriate in finishing, furniture, decor. It has to be parent material in interior. Besides tree it is necessary to use some other natural materials: straw, reed, bamboo, clay. Fabrics also have to be natural: wool, linen, cotton, etc. will approach, it is besides very important that there is not too much textiles. The abundance of carpets, pillows, curtains, cloths, napkins and so forth in interior in style of bungalow will be inappropriate. Textiles in certain cases should be replaced: for example, instead of curtains it is possible to use rolled curtains or wooden blinds, and instead of cloths, napkins and rugs – mats.
And, at last, it is worth mentioning materials which should not be used. It is plastic, synthetic fabrics, glass (this is not about windows). Metal can be used, but only if necessary and in small amounts, it is besides recommended to be limited to bronze and copper, also brass use is possible. All metal elements have to be very simple, without pretentiousness and jewelry and also without sharp angles. As decorative elements it is necessary to use the handicrafts made of natural materials.
