It is convenient to have kitchen garden at window not only and it is useful – it can become original and functional decoration of your apartment. That plants well grew and brought big harvest, and to you did not make work to look after them, it is necessary to organize it correctly.
1. First, before planting plants, it is necessary to prepare properly the place for kitchen garden. Choose the most suitable window: it has to come to sunny side and to be rather big. In the room there should not be drafts, from slots on frame should not blow, it is desirable to seal up window in advance properly.
2. On edge of windowsill beat small rail that the side 3-5 centimeters high which will prevent falling of pots with saplings has turned out if you accidentally touch them. 5. It is necessary to plant plants so that high stalks stood along wall. If to arrange is closer than them to edge, they will prevent to look after smaller saplings and if to put along window, they will shade the next plants.
6. In boxes with cucumbers it is possible to establish small grids which will perform decorative function and to direct growth of plants.
7. In flower shops various jewelry for bouquets and pot plants is on sale. Buy there several ladybugs who it is possible to paste on leaves of your saplings, or butterflies on long needles. If to establish such butterfly in pot and to hide needle behind leaves of plants, it will perfectly look and decorate your mini-kitchen garden.
8. The hands it is possible to execute small scarecrow which you will be able to establish near decorative wattle fence. For this purpose you need two rails, several rags of fabric and thick thread. From one rag sew small sack, fill it cotton wool and put on rail, having fixed by thread. Attach the second rail perpendicular to your preparation. Make clothes for scarecrow, put on it, fix by threads and draw to doll the person – the scarecrow is ready. It is also possible to make it of straw and to use doll clothes. Beautifully issued kitchen garden on windowsill can become good alternative to house greenhouse, and on your table there will always be tasty home-made vegetables.
