1. Before kindling of fireplace it is necessary to close windows and doors that there were no air flows. Completely open chimney latch that smoke did not go to the room. Close openings for cleaning.
2. Look whether the zolnitsa is not too filled. It is necessary to delete from it ashes after each fire chamber, leaving a little. It becomes in order that the alkali which is formed in interaction of ashes, ashes and air did not spoil metal parts of fireplace. Availability of thin layer of ashes is admissible - it helps fire to inflame. The distance from grid to ashes has to make about 20 centimeters.
3. Start laying of firewood. Lay in fire chamber horizontally two logs, previously their splits in half. From above – still couple of logs, at an angle in 90 degrees to the first. In such a way it is necessary to lay eight logs that the similarity of the well having height in half of height of the fire chamber was formed. Do not forget to leave gaps between logs for air access – it is necessary for good burning.

At the same time there will be pushing out of cold air due to heat up. If the fireplace was not kindled long ago, repeat this manipulation few times.
5. Set fire to firewood and after fire close the screen. At the same time the draft from below will amplify and sparks will not get outside. It is possible not to close the screen, however at the same time it is necessary to watch closely fire very much. When firewood burns through half, cover draft. The intensity of burning will decrease, but time will increase. Overturn firewood which has burned through half, improving air flow to other logs – so you will achieve increase in flame.
