Process of coloring of wood is simple only at first sight. To paint tree in due form, it is necessary to consider many factors, but the tree and products from it will serve for many years.

1. It is important that the surface prepared for painting was clean and dry. Even water-based paints on damp tree will lay down uneven stains, and other can begin to bubble, and will shortly lag behind surface. Therefore the surface for coloring needs to be cleaned and dried carefully. If the tree has been painted before, it needs to be cleaned from old paint, using abrasive paper or the grinder. To protect tree surface from rotting and insects, use special primer or antiseptics, making them processing of surface. The same operation is capable to correct small roughnesses, having created uniform surface on which imposing of paint will be the most comfortable.
2. For the correct painting it is important to choose suitable brushes and paints. For coloring of big flat squares use of the roller and also other additional tools which need of application depends on the painted surface and its features is allowed. The size of brush will depend on degree of complexity of geometry of the surface needing coloring - the smaller elements are present at it, the brush is necessary less that well to paint over them. Brushes are flat and round, to tips of various form. To understand what form and what number will be the most comfortable in use, the beginner should try many.
3. The choice of paint depends not so much on personal preferences how many from how the painted wooden surface will be used further. Acrylic paint as it does not contain noxious to health substances indoors will be ideal for works and can be applied even indoors because has no smell. Alkyd enamels well will be suitable for painting of wooden surface which will be outside - they protect tree from rotting and moisture, and the strong smell on the street is almost imperceptible.
4. Except these paints, for painting of tree it is possible to use nitroenamels and oil paints. That the tree has been processed from atmospheric influence with preservation of natural coloring, it is good to use varnishes among which there are a lot of colourless. It is necessary to apply paint or varnish with smooth movements, thin uniform layer. It is the best of all to go along fibers, with special care painting over faces of boards as they can gather a lot of moisture.
5. If on the painted surface there are hats of nails, screws, self-tapping screws, brackets, iron pins - it is necessary to process them anticorrosive structure. It will protect tree from rust distribution. Any structure is applied on tree in two layers, the second at the same time is put not earlier, than the first will dry. The first coat of paint or varnish makes pile raising on wood, the second smoothes it. In addition after the first layer sometimes recommend to pass on tree small abrasive paper, this procedure will remove the risen pile and will smooth roughnesses.
