Raspberry represents bush with unusually tasty berries which are loved by children and adults. To reap rich crop of raspberry on the site, it is necessary to exercise judgment in care for bush not only in the summer, but also in the spring.

1. Every year during the spring period from the basis of bush grows about 5-10 substituting escapes (and still the same number of coppice escapes rises from roots). After the wintering of raspberry it is necessary to start audit. Attentively you look bushes at availability of the frozen slightly escapes which need to be removed immediately by means of secateurs. If on bush only tops have frozen, then it is necessary to truncate them to healthy fabric.
2. If stalk fabrics still live, and kidneys have frozen – do not hurry to delete them. In this case there is high probability of further fructification from the sleeping and pazushny kidneys. On whatever height stalks have frozen slightly, it is possible to receive harvest if live kidneys below have remained. Cut the broken and too thin small stalks, trying not to leave stumps.
3. Remove all young growth at the end of May, that is practically at once after its emergence. Thanks to it, the main bush will get all nutrients and also moisture. Cut stalks every spring at the height of 115-160 centimeters (after growth of kidneys that it was visible on what precisely height can cut off them), it promotes formation further of larger berries. Tie up raspberry to average and top wire of lane.
4. It is not obligatory to introduce under raspberry nitrogen mineral fertilizers during the spring period at all, it can cause the active growth of coppice escapes. If escapes grow sluggishly, at the end of May it is possible to bring the following fertilizing under each bush: shovel of fresh mullein (it is possible to replace with chicken dung) and matchbox of saltpeter or urea, divorced in water bucket. There will be enough such fertilizing for the entire period of vegetation.
5. At the end of May spray raspberry with insecticides, similar processings do not reduce quality of berries, but help to struggle with malinny bug and stem fly. In the middle of May of fly begin to take off from top soil. The eggs laid by flies leave larvae and literally bite into leaves and young escapes. As a result stalks blacken, fade and perish.
