The banquette is small soft sofa or low stool without back. Its assignment is to create comfort maximum indoors for which it is intended. The banquette has been invented in the Middle Ages for convenience of rich ladies who, sitting on it in boudoirs, preened feathers, played the piano or to receive guests. The form of banquettes was various. But the design assumed availability of soft seat and low, but steady basis on beautiful legs.
Instruction
1. Modern banquettes can be made of various furniture materials: tree, chipboard, MDF, glass, metal, plastic. For registration of banquettes fabric, leather, fur are used. Today furniture producers offer buyers of banquette to the hall and the bedroom, banquettes in office, banquettes for office. However it is possible to make original banquette and the hands. Make necessary measurements and draw the drawing of future banquette on the sheet of paper, it is possible even by hand. Only the sizes and their compliance each other are important.
2. Take the sheet MDF and cut from it square of the necessary sizes. It will be the banquette bottom. Take wooden rails 5 cm wide and cut off 4 levels long, the corresponding length of the parties of the bottom of banquette. Cut the smaller parties of levels at an angle of 90 degrees.
3. Paste levels end-to-end to banquette bottom faces so that their edges acted below the bottom on 2-3 cm. Attach levels to the bottom furniture corners and screws by means of the screw driver. Smooth out the bottom of banquette and level abrasive paper, paint them with the chosen paint or decorate differently, to the taste.
4. Make legs for banquette of wooden bar of the necessary section. Grind them abrasive paper and paint right color or cover with furniture varnish. Attach legs to the banquette bottom screws or by means of furniture corners. If you want the banquette easily to move, attach swivelling rollers on legs.
5. Sew pillow of the same sizes, as its bottom on banquette. Fill pillow foam rubber or other safe filler. Decorate pillow with buttons or tape. Put pillow on the bottom of banquette and enjoy comfort!
