It is possible to draw patterns at windows independently, without the aid of professionals. Colourful stained-glass windows and simple ornaments will demand different the technician and materials, but also in that, and in other case the result will please you and your guests.

1. Before drawing the drawing carefully purify glasses. It is the best of all to paint windows by means of cliches. They will allow to avoid paint drips, and drawings will turn out accurate and symmetric. Special cliches are one-sided and bilateral. Use one-sided if you want to apply the drawing on glasses only from within. Bilateral templates have to coincide completely with external and inside. Usually on such cliches there are tags that there was no drawing shift.

2. Templates can be pasted to window aerosol glue or water. Glue holds cliche at window more strong, but will leave marks which you should clean off on glass. It is possible to wash away aerosol glue gasoline for the Zippo lighter or white spirit. Acrylic paint to which you will do the drawing at the same time will not be washed away. Water is more available than glue and will not leave stains at window, but the template can come unstuck at inopportune moment. Record cliche on glass, smooth with scarf or napkin template to remove bubbles and folds.

3. When drawing on glass do gradual transition from the lightest color to dark. Do not gather too much paint on brush, otherwise drops and drips can appear. Acrylic paint very quickly dries therefore wash out more often brush. It is very difficult to wash the stiffened acrylic, and the brush will become unsuitable for further work.

4. When drawings are ready, remove cliches. The window can be washed with normal means, they will not wash away acrylic paint. It is possible to paint glass not only acrylic. Beautiful golden drawings turn out by means of gold oxide. If you want to make window opaque, process it fluoric acid. The same acid will make pure glass brilliant. The drawing after etching remains.
