If the owner-occupied dwelling is equipped with heating boiler, for removal of gases it is necessary to establish flue. Traditionally it is constructed brick, however it is not always reasonable to use this material, more often modern chimney systems do of ceramics or became.
Instruction
1. The ceramic flue can be applied to all types of boilers. Material from which it is executed, resistant to aggressive impact of the chemical compounds which are formed at combustion of different types of fuel.
2. The clay pipes used for creation of such flues differ from each other in the admissible maximum temperature of off-gases. The pipes maintaining 400-450 °C are applied to gas boilers and those that use liquid fuel. At solid propellant boilers the gas temperature can reach 600-650 °C. The systems resistant to ignition of deposits of soot are necessary for them.
3. Some flues are intended for work in dry state when in pipe condensate is not formed. If on walls moisture accumulates, it is necessary to choose the systems equipped with condensate collectors or condensate traps.
4. Pipes of flue place in specially laid out vertical channel from hollow masonry units or brick. It can be part of the ventilating block of the house. For laying take blocks with 1-2 emptiness, the second channel will be used for air supply to boiler torch and also for ventilation of the boiler house.
5. To protect surrounding designs from influence of high temperatures, around pipe of flue place heater from mineral wool. Between it and walls of the channel it is necessary to leave air gap for ventilation.
6. There are ceramic flues made in the body with external cover of steel. Their placement does not require the structure of special channels, such flue can be established practically in any place outside or indoors.
7. Steel pipes use when gas temperature does not exceed 400-450 °C. Life cycle of such systems is much less, than at ceramic and brick, and cost is rather high. However steel flues of factory production are established more simply and quicker, they do not demand construction of special channels in building constructions of the house.
