1. Foaming of polystyrene requires the special equipment. Prior to its operation check connections and communications of prefoaming agent. Turn on the unit and warm up up to the temperature of 100-110? With, give the chance to evaporate to condensate. Working pressure has to be from 0.16 to 0.22 kgfs/cm2. At the same time it is necessary to maintain temperature about 95-98 degree centigrades.
2. Give raw materials to the unit by means of the giving bunker. Supply of raw materials to the working area is carried out by the screw. In work area at steam treatment and at influence of the frothing agent, raw materials increase in sizes up to 50 times. As the frothing agent apply the liquids boiling at low temperature. For example, isopentane at which boiling temperature is 28? C. For giving to fire resistivity polystyrene, add to system up to 5% of bromine or chlorine-containing connections. When foaming the balls of polystyrene remain closed. Easy granules rise upward where through window of unloading move to the intermediate bunker. From here through drying of "the boiling layer" the granules move in the bunker of endurance of granules.
3. Sustain granules in the ripenings bunker before achievement in cells of atmospheric pressure. For cooling and drying of granules maintain in the endurance bunker temperature of 22-28 degrees during 8-24chas.
