The spring gains the steam, the grass turns green, and birds sing, gardeners have stretched on the parcels for implementation of the first landings. And how to be to summer residents that the birds who have flied from the South did not pereklevat the planted seeds which will shortly turn into strategic stocks for all winter. There is one simple decision – to make own hands garden scarecrow, this not only effective remedy for scaring away of birds, but also very fascinating occupation.
It is required to you
- - long and short pole;
- - straw for stuffing;
- - cords;
- - old clothes (it is possible the nursery);
- - white fabric;
- - paints or felt-tip pens;
- - needles and threads.
Instruction
1. The most traditional and easy way to make scarecrow is to use old and unnecessary clothes. But that it looked more interesting and accurate, take kidswear from which your kid has already grown up. Before it it is necessary to prepare basis. Take big pole and drive it in the earth, carefully fix that further the scarecrow has not fallen.
2. Attach cross crossbeam to long pole at the corresponding height. It will serve as shoulders and hands for future scarecrow.
3. Now it is possible to start production of the head which to make not so difficult. Take piece of cotton white matter and densely fill straw. It was necessary only to pull together all sides and to stick hardly cord. It will also be the head for scarecrow which needs to be got on pole – neck. To finish image of the head, take oil or acrylic paints (or waterproof felt-tip pens) and draw lines of human face. To the top of the straw head attach straw, strings or ropes which will perform function of hair. From above it is possible to put on hat or to tie kerchief.
4. Now it is possible to start clothing of scarecrow. For this purpose take shirt and put on it the crosspiece, clasp on all buttons and fill densely straw. Sew up bottom of shirt and the ends of sleeves with threads.
5. Make of palm gloves for scarecrow, they will add to it life. For this purpose it is possible to make more expressive form which is in advance cut out from cardboard or bent from wire. Then fill the same straw or cotton wool. Fill trousers straw, from below and from above sew up and attach to trunk. At the same time legs have to dangle freely, moving at the first wind gusts. You can attach from below to trousers the socks which are in advance filled by straw, it will look more interestingly.
6. It is possible to entrust scarecrow something from garden utensils. It can be old jug or watering can in which it is possible to place fresh bouquet of flowers. During bad weather give to scarecrow in hands umbrella, and on the occasion of holiday in his hand the balloon or tag can flaunt.
