Wooden grids are irreplaceable when it is going to build the building on the garden site with use of easy and graceful elements. It can be perloga, wall of half-open gazebo or element of porch. It is simple to make grid with own hands, besides it is much cheaper, than to get ready design.
The grid represents double frame in which the elements crossed among themselves are located. The problem of frame consists in giving of design of durability and certain rigidity. The wooden grid not only gives to gazebo attractive exterior, performing thereby decorative function, but also can be used as support (pergola) for climbers.
Production of grid for gazebo
Before starting production of grid, it is necessary to make measurements of aperture where it is going to insert it and to prepare bars of which the frame will be made. Section of bars has to be 20х45 mm. It is the best of all to make their connection by means of finger joint. Corners of frame can also be connected on "mustache", using for this purpose plug-in rail. The second frame has to be completely identical to the first. As curve for its production all set of parts of the first frame is surely used. After frames are ready, at the edges of bars the folds consisting of rails with a section of 10х20 mm jam.
To fill the frame you will need to use strips with the same cross section.
They settle down at an angle about 45 degrees so that when imposing frames diamond-shaped crossings have at each other turned out. The end result will turn out ideal if the drawing on both frames is absolutely identical. Now it is necessary to impose one frame on another and to connect them among themselves by means of self-tapping screws. Rails on them have to lay down at the same time cross crosswise. The ready design becomes covered with varnish then she needs to be left alone before full drying. As it will dry, the frame is inserted into intended for this purpose I will eat and is fixed by self-tapping screws.
If desired, inside of the grille you can put a mosquito net, protecting thus from blood-sucking insects vacationing in the gazebo.
What to paint wooden grid with
It is possible not only to varnish grid for gazebo, but also to paint with paint. It is for this purpose recommended to use the special paints intended for external works. Wood from pollution is perfectly protected by acrylic latex, silicone and silicate paints. Besides they are not softened at high temperatures. Such paints do not demand preliminary steeping of wood antiseptic structures. It is connected with the fact that they, thanks to the structure, oppress development of harmful microorganisms.
The paint is best applied in two or three layers, and paint work carried out on warm days.
As dyes for wooden grids it is possible to use decorative glazes or transparent lacquers which allow to keep the drawing of tree, and pigments which are their part give to the painted surface various shades.
