The principle of transformation of electric current to heat energy is the cornerstone of operation of boilers of induction type. Their design provides the special device – the inductor (transformer) with two windings. Basic elements of the equipment
The boiler of induction type created in house conditions will include the following structural components:
- The inductor - the main component of the device representing the transformer with two windings.
- Heating coil or the core in the form of pipe with large diameter or several connected in parallel pipes of smaller section.
- Branch pipes through which cutting of the device in thermal network is made. One of them is applied to liquid eyeliner in boiler, and the second – to its giving in heating services.
- The inverter - the device for transformation of direct electric current in high-frequency.
As for preparation of materials for work, most of them the inductor and elements of armature are provided on sale, for example. The last can also be made independently, following on the drawings placed in open access. As the inverter the work element of the welding machine quite will approach. It is important to pay attention to the current intensity with which the inverter works. At the same time it is one bottom better to lay the close-meshed metal gauze and just the same – to place in upper part of the body. So contents will be reliably fixed in the primary winding. The received device is installed in heating services. It is previously necessary to merge from it the heat carrier and to think where it is the best of all to install the boiler. On this site it is necessary to mark pipe and to cut out from it the fragment corresponding longwise to heating appliance. On this place the mounting of self-made induction boiler is also carried out. After connection of the coil with the inverter the system should be filled with the heat carrier again.
As soon as assembly is fully completed, the device needs to be tested. It is possible to do it only in the presence in the heating device of liquid. At boiler job "on dry" there is risk of melting of the plastic body because of high temperature and partial destruction of all heating system. Besides, it is important to make sure of reliable grounding of heating appliance that its operation was completely safe.
Features of vortex induction boilers
Separate kind of induction boilers are vortex devices which also work from high-frequency tension and are equipped with the inverter. Their main feature consists in lack of secondary winding. The metal parts of the unit made of materials with ferromagnetic properties act as it. As a result when giving current the strength of internal electromagnetic field increases by the primary winding of the device.
On electricity corrective action in the device the powerful whirling currents which are almost instantly warming everything ferromagnetic surfaces are formed. Taking into account smaller quantity of functional parts the vortex boilers are rather compact, though heavier because of metal use. Anyway, all massive metal constructive parts participate in heat exchange that device efficiency brings closer to 100%. Thus, it is possible to make choice for production of vortex induction boiler, using for this purpose metal materials instead of plastic.
Assembly procedure of the vortex device
Despite certain differences in work, vortex boilers classical induction are made almost in the same order, as. It is only important to have skills of performance of welding as exclusively metal parts will be used. Will be necessary for work:
- two pieces of thick wall pipe from metal of identical length, but different diameter (for connection with each other).
- the enameled winding wire from copper;
- the three-phase inverter (will approach from the welding machine, but with the maximum power);
- heat-insulating casing.
Get to work, having begun process with production of the body of future device. Take pipe of large diameter and insert in the second part. Execute their welding so that between walls of parts there was some space. As a result the received product will resemble in section steering-wheel. For production of cover and the basis of the body use steel sheet from 5 mm thick. So you receive hollow tank of boiler of cylindricity.
Execute insert in walls of the body of two branch pipes for giving cold and removal of hot liquid. At configuration of branch pipes and their diameters be guided by the sizes of heating pipes (perhaps, adapters will be necessary). Further start winding of wire. It is necessary accurately and to reel up it observance of sufficient tension on the boiler body.
As well as in the first case, as heating coil it is possible to use the reeled-up wire, and the device body - to cover with heat-insulating casing. At the expense of it the best heat emission will be provided. Also device efficiency will increase, and its operation will be safer. Now execute insert of boiler in heating system, previously having merged the heat carrier. Cut the pipe section suitable longwise and weld the device on this place.
It is necessary only to bring power supply to heating appliance and to connect the inverter. Before operation of the device and carrying out the first tests it is necessary to fill with the heat carrier the highway. After that it is possible to make trial start-up. Start the device at small power and make sure of reliability of all welds. In the absence of leakages it is possible to increase power to maximum gradually.
