Plane – that construction tool without which, perhaps, any large construction cannot do. It facilitates woodwork and serves as some kind of manual machine for masters. The design of plane is quite simple - it is small wooden block and the metal blade located in this block in the necessary situation. It would seem, everything is very primitively simple, however, not everyone knows how to make plane independently and whether perhaps it in general.
Instruction
1. Buy ready metallicheky plates which will be plane edge in shop, or prepare special for woodwork. Such edges there can be two or one. For the first time it is the best of all to try to make plane, using only one edge.
2. Take small bar from tree. Perfectly such breeds of wood as maple, birch or beech will approach. Grind bar by means of knife, having given to its corners the rounded-off, beautiful form. From how there will be turnings wooden bar, exterior of your plane and convenience at its use will depend. Make of the same material, as for future plane, small horn which will serve as the handle. It is the best of all when it in accuracy approaches under your hand.
3. Make in front part of block opening according to diameter of horn. Miss the mark opening with glue for wood together with its sidewalls and apply the same glue on the end of horn from that party by which it will be inserted into block opening.
4. Insert horn so that it has densely entered, and hold several minutes that glue was taken. Fix by means of the screw driver or normal nails. By means of this horn you will place emphasis on plane and will be able to move it in the necessary direction.
5. Cut through in block of notches (small opening for insertion of edge). At the same time you remember that the opening needs to be done under certain corner - 45 degrees, it has to be such width as the bought metal platinum, and has to be cut so that for plate from reverse side there was emphasis.
6. Insert and fix edge in notches, it has to be strongly fixed and not dangle at all. It is necessary to fix it by means of emphasis from one party and wooden blade with another. The plane is ready, can start works.
