One of the most important constructive parts of modern ventilation systems is the air recuperator. This device is responsible for heat exchange between the cold air coming to the house and which is thrown out outside warm. Use of recuperators allows owners of residential unit to save the considerable sums on heating of rooms in winter time. It is possible to add ventilation system if desired including with independently manufactured recuperator.

- - roofing galvanization;
- - sheet metal plate;
- - polyethylene film;
- - mineral wool;
- - fastenings;
- - plywood or textolite rails no more than 3-4 mm thick;
- - plastic branch pipes;
- - glue-sealant.
Instruction
1. The air recuperator for the house with own hands from roofing galvanization is the simplest to make. Cut out necessary quantity of plates of 300х200 mm (not less than 70) from leaf. Collect the cartridge from the material received thus. To receive gaps, paste on the opposite sides of plates of rail.
2. Stack each subsequent leaf, turning it at an angle 90 degrees in relation to previous. In order that plates have stuck together with plywood or textolite most strongly, use some some cargo as press.
3. Collect the device body. To make the air recuperator for the house with own hands to the most reliable, use sheet metal plate or thick plywood for this purpose. Make box absolutely hermetic.
4. Cut two openings in each sidewall of the body under branch pipes. On one of walls they should be done below, on another — above. Length of box has to be equal to height of the assembled cartridge of the heat exchanger, and width — diagonal length between its opposite corners.
5. Install the cartridge assembled from plates in the manufactured body on edge. Insert branch pipes into openings in box and fasten them self-tapping screws. Cover the air recuperator manufactured thus for the house with cover from plywood or metal. Fasten it to the body self-tapping screws.
6. To make the air recuperator for the house with own hands to the most durable, paint the body the enamel intended for use on the street. Attach the taking-away and bringing air ducts to branch pipes. To exclude possibility of frosting-up of plates because of condensate, include in ventilation system heater, electric or water.
7. At the final stage warm the assembled lamellar recuperator of air by means of mineral wool. Envelop it the body of the device and fit all design polyethylene film. Use the insulator not less than 50 mm thick.
