In the two-story apartment or owner-occupied dwelling the ladder connecting all floors in uniform space is necessary. Not to take a lot of place, it is possible to equip spiral staircase from tree, having established it on metal supporting structures. Spiral staircases because of their small width are established both in corner or near wall, and in the remaining free space between walls.
1. Before starting creation of stair flight and to buy all necessary materials, to order metal support, execute the drawing of ladder taking into account your room where it will be established. Calculate diameter of midstream for the central supporting pole taking into account width of future steps - it makes about 20-25 millimeters. For this purpose measure floor-to-ceiling height of the first floor, distance to half of the second floor and also overlapping thickness between floors. Before making the drawing of ladder, make the plan of the first floor of the room taking into account its exact sizes, allocating the place where subsequently the ladder will be placed.
2. Note on the plan moving direction up and the place where there will be entrance on your ladder, and on the drawing – future steps with scale of their width and height. At the same time width of tread of new ladder has to be about 300 millimeters that at rise up not to create load of foot of the person. Project on the drawing the stair riser and wheeling steps taking into account that at overhang of one wooden step over another for safe rise on ladder or descent should not be less than 10 millimeters down.
3. On the separate auxiliary drawing display angles of lead in the form of the circular chart; optimum angle of rise the indicator ° is considered at 23-37. Wishing to execute the drawing of ladder for its installation in small space, create bigger tilt angle then the ladder will borrow much less the place. If you have decided to establish ladder in the spacious room, choose the minimum angle of lead, but such stair flight will take a lot of place. The corner ° is undesirable at 40-45 owing to insecurity of rise and in particular descent therefore choose such type of ladder only at its installation in the space which is absolutely limited on the area.
4. You apply steps on the drawing, calculating their necessary quantity, having separated height of your placement on already calculated height of the stair riser. For example, if you have decided to have steps in 150 millimeters from each other and height to the second the floor is 3 meters, then at you 20 steps have to turn out. But on the drawing of ladder in this case note only 19 steps as as initial step it is possible to consider half of the first floor of your room. When drawing on the drawing of schematic steps use the angle of lead chosen by you.
