1. Resolving issue of what width there has to be blind area, be guided by soil of the site and length of overhang of roof. Usually the blind area is done 0.8 m wide. If to reduce this indicator, for example, to 0.6 m, will go extremely inconveniently. From eaves overhang width is increased by 0.2 m.
2. That roots of plants have not destroyed blind area subsequently, completely remove fertile earth layer. Remove it before achievement of layer of sand or clay. Then fill up sand in trench and stamp the vibrating plate. Then the trench should be filled with crushed stone or gravel and to stamp carefully. Do not replace such stone layer with construction waste as it is deprived of ability to take away capillary water. The water which is saved up under impervious layer, freezing, it is destructive influences blind area.
3. If the level of underground water is located in the soil highly, in order to avoid silting lay geotextiles between layers of sand and crushed stone. If you have decided to lay rolled material (hydrostekloizol or rezinobitumny film), create under it the firm basis from concrete. Do not apply roofing material as it quickly bursts in the soil.
4. Lay armature and fill in trench with concrete not less, than on 0.1 m. Carrying out filling, at once make movement joints: across blind area and along its adjunction to house wall. Execute these seams polyurethane sealant or damping tape. Creation of such expansion seams will allow to keep blind area from clinking, the resulting air temperature drops.
5. Powder damp concrete with dry cement and jam it by means of trowel that the surface became stronger. Then cover blind area with fabric and from time to time moisten it. Two days when the covering becomes strong later, on it it will be possible to go.
6. After creation of watertight coating it is possible to be engaged in its registration that it decorated the house and the site. For this purpose use tile from ceramics, concrete or natural stone, pebble, cobble-stone, facets, stacking them on tiled glue or cement mix.
