How to manufacture boiler on solid fuel

Boilers which use solid fuel are independent and independent way of heating of country houses. They are not connected with utilities: neither with gas pipe-lines, nor with electricity, nor with the centralized heating. All this does them especially popular in the remote places of settlements.

Instruction

1. During creation of boiler try everywhere where it is possible, to use cast iron, it much more reliable also is more durable than iron and steel. At combustion of fuel, carbon dioxide and water are formed. Under the influence of water in the conditions of high temperatures and small amount of oxygen the oxidation of iron accelerates many times, it quickly enough burns through. Cast iron contains much more carbon and is less subject to corrosion. Therefore all oven valves and doors make of cast iron. Cast iron can be cooked, like steel, using special electrodes.

2. When choosing design of boiler you recognize that increase in its efficiency by increase in heat exchange surface for selection of the maximum quantity of heat at the same time leads to cold flue and, as a result, emergence of number of problems. In particular, it is difficult to kindle such boiler (will smoke), it should be cleaned very often.

3. Make the body of future boiler steel, for this purpose it is possible to use tube section with a diameter of 500 mm and about a meter long. Inside insert tube section of the same length, but with a diameter of 400 mm. Between pipes the heat carrier will circulate. The boiler is installed vertically. At the height of 250 mm from floor make draft door: cut through both pipes and weld in metal frame for ensuring tightness, establish door.

4. In the lower part of boiler weld in metal bottom or use concrete (brick) site. Slightly above ashpit strengthen pig-iron grid-iron. If the boiler burns firewood, but not coal, the grid-iron can be made iron. Muffle upper part of boiler metal cover with opening under pipe with a diameter of 120-150 mm. In the upper and lower part of external shirt of boiler weld in pipes for input and output of the heat carrier.

5. More difficult in production, but is more practical and the version of the boiler from one pipe with a diameter of 500 mm on which inside face the steel solid-drawn pipe with a diameter about 30 mm is wound is more reliable. Such boiler is well started, does not smoke, has high efficiency. Welds should not be directly in zone of the most high temperatures, otherwise they will quickly crack, and the boiler will leak.

6. The boiler design from the normal 200-liter barrel which is laid out from within by refractory brick with the grid-iron which is built in it and the door "hit" in circular laying from cast iron is interesting and quite practical. For heating of the heat carrier the steel solid-drawn pipe contracted by spiral is used. From above such boiler is covered with square pig-iron leaf, the pipe of flue is removed sideways.
