1. It is possible to make multiple copies geranium during any period, but it is preferable to do it in February-March or August-September. Exclude reproduction of plant in December as chances that the flower will be accepted, are extremely small.
2. Choose the healthiest, beautiful and strong shanks on adult plant, they have to have light green color and to be gentle. If the shoot has already stiffened and has gained saturated green color, it is not recommended to take it for reproduction. Take sharp knife and cut off shank slightly at an angle.
3. The shank has to reach length of 15 centimeters and have 4-5 strong leaflets. Accurately tear off the lower leaves, leave only two topmost. Smooth out places of separation of leaves, otherwise they can become the main source of rotting of shoot. Leave shanks for couple of hours on table, during this time on cut the film is formed.
4. Prepare soil mix for landing of shanks of geranium, it has to consist in half of humus and sand (it is possible to replace with vermiculite). Take small pots, glasses or other small tanks and make at the bottom of opening for draining of excess water (by means of the pricker heated over fire).
