Before drawing up the project of the house it is very important to decide on planning solutions and to consider set of architectural parts. Orientation of rooms on parts of the world which can be defined, having used compass or the land and cadastral plan, will help to make your dwelling cozy and comfortable.
Instruction
1. Locate the house so that on North side of the horizon (sector from 310 to 50 degrees) no more than a half of living rooms has been oriented. Thus you will avoid low average daily temperatures and weak illumination of rooms. Be guided by the same rule, orienting the house to the West (sector from 200 to 290 degrees) in the southern areas. If it is impossible to satisfy this condition, provide installation of sunshields or placement at windows of green plantings.
2. Have on the most valuable South side of terrace, winter gardens, verandahs. Take away North side under garage, the boiler house and other auxiliary rooms where the windows reducing heat-shielding are not necessary. Irrespective of the climatic area, orient kitchen to East side of the horizon, the North, the northwest or the northeast. If windows of kitchen come to the South, direct sunshine will heat the room and objects which are in it. In such conditions there will be impossible long operation of kitchen stove.
3. Make the project of future house, remembering that windows of living rooms have to be oriented on the South, East or southeast side. The general rooms can be located in the West or the southwest. Each premises have to receive portion of direct sunshine within at least 2 hours a day. Orientation of other rooms of the house is not so important.
4. Define the dominating direction of wind to plan entrance to the house alee. The windows coming to the North on condition of their need, have to be as little as possible. Have farm buildings so that smells and smoke did not get to the house. If you live in the southern region with the increased humidity, plan the site under construction so that the house cooled the wind blowing in its party.
