Color of walls and floor influences not only forming of style of the house. It can correct form and the sizes of rooms, to create the worker or the weakening atmosphere and to make impact on mood of inhabitants of the house.
Instruction
1. Choose color for each room in the house separately. But at the same time you hold integral image of the dwelling in the head – the style and color scheme of rooms have to "have something in common" at least at the expense of parts imperceptible at first sight.
2. Selecting color, consider the room size. If you want it to change visually, in small rooms paste wall-paper light, mainly cold shades. They will create feeling of freedom and openness. And on the contrary, deep warm colors will bring missing cosiness in spacious halls. Using this principle, it is possible "to correct" a little irregular shape of the room, for example, too extended. For this purpose on long walls paste wall-paper or put paint of more dark shade, than on short, keeping at the same time unity of color gamma. Also visually wall-paper with the large bright drawing will help to reduce the wall size.
3. The choice of color depends also on what function is performed by any given room in the house. It is considered that bright warm shades draw attention, promote that the person will mobilize forces. However, such "stimulator" not for long works, and the surge in activity will be followed by feeling of exhaustion from bright spots. Cool pastel tone, on the contrary, will become imperceptible background which will allow to work comfortably and steadily in such room quite long time. Compound colors in pastel gamma (lilac, sea wave) will help to restore feeling of harmony and to relax. Also the temperament of the person who will live in the room is inseparably linked with this factor. It is unlikely the bright red bedroom with prints in style pop art on walls will please the silent phlegmatic person.
4. Do not forget to think over combination of color of walls in the house with color of furniture. They have to be in one gamma, but not coincide completely, otherwise the interior will be excessively monotonous. Also consider influence of situation of the room on perception of basic color. So, for example, the orange and burgundy colors which are considered as active in combination with upholstered furniture in east style, large number of pillows and draperies will create the atmosphere of absolute slackness and pacification.
5. Define whether you will make out the room, using one color gamma, or you will take a little. If you have chosen shades of one color, diversify situation at the expense of its various saturation. When using tones close to each other make sure that they are combined. With it you will be helped by color circle (it can be found in the Internet). Enter in it equilateral triangle. Tops of figure will indicate colors which can be combined.
6. Do not lose opportunity to experiment. Sometimes violation of all recommendations yields unexpectedly good result.
