Before choosing curtains, it is necessary to imagine mentally design of the room for which they intend. The style of curtains has to be combined ideally with style of the room, you should not lose sight also of such factors as room height and the linear sizes of window opening.

Practical hostesses prefer curtains from polyester or viscose as they do not accumulate dust and easily wash off in house conditions. And here it is better to hand over heavy cotton or velvet curtains in dry-cleaner. Universal option — linen curtains. They well will be suitable for kitchen.
The pattern for curtains is chosen, proceeding from the room sizes: the narrow room can be broadened visually by means of cross strips on curtains, and the vertical pattern creates illusion of higher ceiling. For rooms with narrow windows it is necessary to pick up curtains of asymmetric form which not only will make exterior of the draped window more original, but also will be able visually to increase it and to make more noticeable part of interior.
