1. Draw the sketch of bed on the sheet of paper and paint with row detailed plan. What illumination of this place, what there structure of the soil and humidity. Then think of time of blossoming of bed. It is possible to pick up sowing material so that it has blossomed all during one period or replaced each other during all summer season.
2. Make out bed so that it was not empty. Flowers that are dismissed for one or two weeks, put between those plants which blossom after them. It will allow to close available seats, without leaving bald spots. Then you will not need to dig over flower bed constantly.
3. At selection of colors for bed pay attention to their compatibility. Because some great representatives of flora can oppress or completely ruin other representatives.
4. Think over color scheme of bed. It can be monochrome if you pick up relatives for coloring flowers, or multi-colored when flowers are planted in certain order, making in advance considered ornament. Flowers of cold shades will be fine background for one or two accent plants.
5. Have flowers on bed depending on flower bed form. On square or rectangular bed make the drawing in the form of geometrical patterns or waves. On round bed plant plants on spiral or circles. It is possible to make bright beams from the center.
6. Try to avoid excessively motley and small drawing on bed if it does not mean the pattern which is picked up by you specially which will be entered in surrounding landscape.
7. Count height of plants on bed. On the foreground land stocky plants, and than closer to the center, that flowers can be higher. On edge of bed it is possible to put creeping types.
8. Try to plant plants so that to them it was not close on one bed. They will expand and survive each other, and your bed will lose well-groomed look.
