Often happens so that the surface of kitchen table loses the look because of various scratches and cuts. To prevent their emergence, in the course of cooking it is necessary to carry out some rules.

- - cutting boards;
- - liquid means for washing of table-top;
- - soft sponges for washing;
- - piece of plywood;
- - oilcloth;
- - cloth;
- - thermosupports;
- - special glue from furniture cuts.
Instruction
1. Consider features of that material of which your table-top is made. The most widespread is the chipboard (more rare - MDF) revetted with plastic. Products from artificial stone – the composite material having antibacterial properties are in the second place. Then there are table-tops covered with stainless steel, glass, revetted with ceramic tile and also, made of natural stone or solid wood.
2. Use cutting boards in cooking time. Them you have to have not less than four: for meat, fish, vegetables and bakery products. You watch that working process did not overstep the bounds of cutting board.
3. Do not throw knives and other kitchen tool on table-top. You store them in places specially allotted for this purpose.
4. When using the manual meat grinders and other devices having screw fastening lay thin cutting board or soft rubber rug between the fastening and table.
5. Do not use the cleaning abrasive means for table-top surface. They scratch and damage varnish and paint. For cleaning of table-top from pollution use liquid means.
6. For washing of table-top choose soft sponges from "tools" if pollution too strong – use rigid sponges, but, not metal gauzes and the other scratching devices.
7. In cooking time use cloth or oilcloth for protection of table-top against cuts.
8. Take the exact measurements of table-top and make rectangle or square of just the same sizes of thin plywood. It can be put from above on table surface in cooking time.
9. Do not put hot pans on table-top. Use special thermosupports.
10. Do not use various metal supports under pans which are capable to scratch table-top.
11. To remove strong cuts on table-top, use the special glue matching the color of kitchen furniture. It is possible to get it in specialized shops. Fill with glue the damaged places, in case of need grind - and furniture looks as new.
