Instruction
1. Accurately remove the scattered splinters from floor and windowsill. Do not collect glass by hands at all, use broom with scoop or the vacuum cleaner with plastic dust collector.
2. Starting removal of glass, spread small cover under window. Accidentally dropping out splinters will be easily removed with stryakhivaniye, and the risk to be wounded with them will be minimized.
3. If residues of glass are in frame at the level of eyes or above, protect eyes from accidental hit of splinters in them. For this purpose put on transparent safety glasses. Work in gloves.
4. Completely stick the broken glass with painting tape, it prevent its diffusion when dismantling. Especially carefully cover sharp edges.
5. Accurately extend nails and remove fillet. If nails are hammered deeply, and it is impossible to take them, then use the rigid palette or wide edge from plane. Insert it into slot in the middle and, carefully striking with the hammer the edge plane, beat out fillet. Do not throw out wooden elements – they can be used again when mounting new glass.
6. Carefully press on glass from reverse side. Line it with the hammer handle if it has not given in at once. For release of glass from silicone sealant cut through its layer on perimeter knife cutting torch.
7. Begin to take out glass, having pulled for loose big fragments. Having removed them, begin to take all small pieces.
8. Purify old putty by means of chisel or the palette. Remove the got stuck splinters on all fold, hooking them the screw-driver, knife or taking out tweezers. Try not to damage wood at the same time.
9. Remove the nails which have accidentally remained from fillet with flat-nose pliers. You will mark surface brush, brushing away residues of glass and dust. Cover the bared wood with the primer intended for processing of wooden surfaces.
