Lining - quite popular material for finishing work. Someone appreciates it the effect of cosiness created by the invoice of tree, someone – for simplicity of operation some – for environmental friendliness of material. But to take all advantage of finishing by lining, it is necessary to learn to fix at first correctly it.
Instruction
1. First of all prepare wall which you will revet. Remove from it old wall-paper or paint, wash up surface. In rooms with the increased humidity not superfluous will be to cover wall with antifungal structure.
2. Lining also needs pretreatment if it wooden, but not plastic. If so-called eurolining is almost suitable for application right after purchase, then normal, perhaps, it is necessary to clean from pitch and other pollution. For this purpose cover boards with 25 percent solution of acetone (more convenient to use wide brush for this purpose) then wash up warm water (brush or rag) and leave to dry.
3. The surface of lining can be non-uniform – cracked, with chips. To eliminate similar defects, use special putties, on color wood, close to shade. You apply putty small with spatula and carefully pound, deleting surplus.
4. The next stage – lining covering varnish or drying oil. This procedure can be postponed for completion phase of facing if it is more convenient to you to varnish the boards which are already attached to wall. Most often for processing of wooden lining use flat varnish. It is applied in 2-3 layers, and interlayers after drying process very small abrasive paper to remove "flows" of varnish and air bubbles. For giving to wood of the necessary shade without loss of the invoice cover lining with mordant on the basis of organic solvents or beyets. It is the best of all to paint brush which width is equal or exceeds board width a little. Rub the painting structure in surface, avoiding its congestion and smudges.
5. Lining or on the prepared (absolutely equal) wall, or on special "grid" fastens. That to create it, fix on wall wooden bars at half a meter distance from each other. If lining vertically is located, rails of furring fix horizontally (and, respectively, on the contrary at horizontal option of arrangement of lining). Check correctness of arrangement of grid by means of the level and plumb.
6. On furring fix lining. It it is possible to nail up small diameter. If you want to hide nails in grooves, you will need doboynik. For more esthetic fastening instead of nails take brackets which are placed in grooves of boards and from above are covered with the following board.
