1. Establish trap at some height. On tops of trees and cable columns it is not necessary to get, but also on the earth it is not necessary to put the new bee house too. Optimum height – is slightly higher than human growth so that the flying bees have noticed design. If you establish trap on branches, it is necessary to fix it that it has not turned over or has not fallen. Choose tree for installation strong, with wide branches and sprawling. It has to be above all the neighbors, is reliably closed from views and to have stability. The thin osinka or linden which is shaken on wind of bees will not attract.
2. Pay attention to the location of the trap. You should not establish lodges for bees near highways or power lines. Modern bees though have got used to relative noise, but nevertheless prefer to lodge far away from roar, dust and foreign sounds. And here if you know that nearby there are telephone wires - it is quite good bait for swarm. The last researches have shown that bees are attracted by the sounds made by wires. Attentively examine nearby fields, it is the best of all that the trap was in environment of melliferous herbs.
3. Important factor – availability of water. At the settlement of new family and removal of young growth of bee use a lot of liquid. For these reasons it is better that near the place of your trap there were reservoirs with clear flowing water. Also try to place lodges with such accounting that they were convenient to be transported on apiary after settling. Nearby there has to be convenient road approach for the car or the vehicle.
