The majority of houses in the Russian villages looks extremely unattractively. Has led set of the reasons to it, main of which - time. One of such ways is mounting of bay window on penthouse facade.
It is required to you
- - eaves boards 25 and 50 mm thick, 100 mm wide;
- - construction and painting tools, including petrol and electric;
- - additional couple of feet of a rafter;
- - roofing covering similar to already available;
- - nails or self-tapping screws;
- - window block suitable by the sizes to future bay window;
- - any paint on tree.
Instruction
1. Define the house facade which is most needing reconstruction. Remove penthouse covering. If boards are still suitable for use, postpone them.
2. Define the center of the top log of front part of the repaired facade. Recede from it in both parties along log on 25-40 cm and make notches. In these parts saw through grooves height and glubinoy100 mm, 50 mm wide. Saw off two pieces from 50 to 60 cm long from thick boards and insert them in parallel each other into the cut-through grooves. Further this couple of boards will have definition of bearing.
3. Along with it or a bit later extend with thick boards two bars on which roof rafters lean. Make it on such distance on which the bearing boards act. Prolong roof ridge for the same length. After that deliver additional couple of rafters on the acting parts of inferior purlins. Fix them vertically on ridge piece and in the lower binding. Sheathe this part of roof at lay on it roofing material.
4. Connect faces of the bearing boards and new rafters other boards strictly vertically. Make and whether buy the window block which ideally would enter between two vertical boards. Establish it at suitable height and fix. You oboprit bottom of the block on the horizontal beam beaten also between vertical racks at the necessary level.
5. Recede from places of cuttings of the bearing boards on 35-50 mm in both parties along the top log. Their depth can not exceed 20 mm, and width and length are 100 and 50 mm respectively. Measure distance from bottom of propil to rafters. Saw off from thick board two pieces on this length and strengthen them. Thus the bay window skeleton is mounted. Sheathe it and all remained gaping parts of penthouse. Hem bay window bottom. If desired you can glaze side parts of bay window. Paint bay window. Establish platbands in places of joints of faces of boards and also paint them.
6. Carry out interior finish of facade of penthouse. Establish windowsill. The bay window is ready.
