1. The ideal environment for activity and reproduction of midges in houseplants is the damp soil. And, as flowers need regular watering, it will be quite difficult to get rid of parasites. 2. Limit flowers in watering. Skim the earth in pot and podsypta the calcinated bank sand or wood ashes. The drainage effect will not allow the soil to gather moisture that will interfere with further development of parasites.

3. Separate the infected plants from healthy, put in different rooms. Take several chips of permanganate of potassium (it is possible get in any pharmacy) and part in water. Instead of potassium permanganate it is possible to use soap solution (for this purpose use the laundry soap divorced in water, it perfectly disinfects).

4. Get in flower shop insecticides (Aktara, Detsis, Fitoverm, Agravertin, Inta-vir, Aktellik, "Thunder-2") which well fight against larvae and midges in flowerpots. 6. If you were helped by any of above-mentioned ways of fight against flower midges, it is necessary to replace soil completely. Accurately take plant from pot and shake off the earth, wash out roots under water jet. Process pot soap solution and rinse with boiled water. Calcinate new soil mix in oven and fill up in the disinfected pot, plant plant and water with weak solution of potassium permanganate.
