Houseplants not only decorate and do cozy the apartment, but also purify air and oxygenate the room. But it is quite often possible to notice near pot with flowers of the flying front sights, so-called stsiarid or mushroom komarik. They postpone to the soil of larva which lead further to death of flowers.

- - permanganate of potassium or soap solution;
- - insecticides;
- - matches.

1. The ideal environment for activity and reproduction of midges in houseplants is the damp soil. And, as flowers need regular watering, it will be quite difficult to get rid of parasites. Midges do not do big harm to flowers, and here their larvae postponed to the damp earth, on the contrary, consider roots of plants favourite delicacy.
2. Limit flowers in watering. Skim the earth in pot and podsypta the calcinated bank sand or wood ashes. The drainage effect will not allow the soil to gather moisture that will interfere with further development of parasites.
3. Separate the infected plants from healthy, put in different rooms. Take several chips of permanganate of potassium (it is possible get in any pharmacy) and part in water. Weak-pink solution which it is necessary has to turn out it is abundant to water the soil. Process all plants, not only infected. Instead of potassium permanganate it is possible to use soap solution (for this purpose use the laundry soap divorced in water, it perfectly disinfects).
4. Get in flower shop insecticides (Aktara, Detsis, Fitoverm, Agravertin, Inta-vir, Aktellik, "Thunder-2") which well fight against larvae and midges in flowerpots. Part one of the transferred funds according to the instruction and water the earth once a week. After introduction of insecticide try not to water the soil within 3-5 days. Be careful during the work with chemical medicines, especially if in your house there are small children or pets.
5. The most economical, simple and effective remedy for fight against flower midges – sulfur. Take ordinary matches. Turn them heads down and thrust to the earth, on one pot only four matches will be required. Then slightly humidify top soil.
6. If you were helped by any of above-mentioned ways of fight against flower midges, it is necessary to replace soil completely. Accurately take plant from pot and shake off the earth, wash out roots under water jet. Process pot soap solution and rinse with boiled water. Calcinate new soil mix in oven and fill up in the disinfected pot, plant plant and water with weak solution of potassium permanganate.
