The spot of pitch put on clothes can bring a lot of trouble, it is not so simple to bring him from fabric. Besides it is necessary not only to remove spot, but also to keep structure and color of fabric.
- - plastic bag or food wrap;
- - tissues;
- - iron;
- - acetone, gasoline and other solvents;
- - fabric napkin;
- - rigid brush;
- - turpentine;
- - ammonia solution;
- - potato starch;
- - hydrogen peroxide;
- - alcohol;
- - laundry detergent;
- - ammonia.
1. Place the clothes soiled by pitch in plastic bag or envelop it food wrap and put in the freezing chamber for 1.5-2 hours (better leave for the night). After that rub spot: the frozen pitch will crack and will fly away. But such way of removal of pitch from clothes is unacceptable for fine fabric because there can be ugly zaloma.
2. Clean spot by means of heat. For this purpose envelop the soiled place from two parties (from the front and back parties of clothes) tissues, and later iron the hot iron (under the influence of heat pitch will melt and will stick to tissue). You remove by this method of spot of pitch only from dense and natural fabrics.
3. For removal of fresh spots of pitch use one of solvents (gasoline, acetone, benzene, etc.). Moisten soft fabric napkin in solvent and rub it the soiled place. In case pitch has deeply got into fabric, strike to spot blows with rigid brush (this way provides deep penetration of solvent into fibers of fabric and prevents change of its structure).
4. Remove old spot of pitch from clothes by means of the mix consisting of potato starch (1 tsp), turpentine (several drops) and ammonia solution (several drops). Apply mix on the put spot and let's dry up, and after well rub brush. If at once to remove spot it will not turn out, repeat the procedure once again. When on fabric after removal of pitch nevertheless there is yellow spot, process it hydrogen peroxide solution.
5. To remove small spots of pitch, apply on them undiluted alcohol. Later wash clothes in hot water (with laundry detergent or other cleaning agent). If after this procedure of spot nevertheless remained, apply on them the mix consisting of ammonia and laundry detergent (ratio 1:1) then again wash clothes.
