1. Disassemble the iron body. In the beginning open back cover - where the electrical wire is connected. Depending on specific model you can face screws under the different tool. Sometimes it is necessary to look for long the necessary screw-driver or to remake already available by means of file.
2. After opening of cover check power cord. For this purpose use standard tester or connect to iron terminals cartridge with the normal electric bulb included in network. If check has revealed break of cord, truncate it or replace with new.
3. If the wire is not damaged, disconnect upper part of the device from sole for check of internal elements. When dismantling the body find all mounting screws. If latches are provided in design, accurately wring out them by means of the screw-driver. Remember what parts and in what sequence you disconnect not to puzzle then – where to attach excess spare parts.
4. Attentively examine internal elements of the iron: heater, temperature regulator, safety lock. By means of tester check each element (they are included consistently).
5. For preventive repair of temperature regulator at which contacts can become isolated or be disconnected not completely clean them file or abrasive paper.
6. If check has revealed fault of the thermal switch, it is the simplest to exclude it from the electric circuit, having short-circuited. The iron will regularly work also without this element which is only additional protection in case of refusal of temperature regulator. The main thing – after completion of work of the household appliance is timely to switch off it from the socket.
7. After you with success have repaired the iron, bring together him in the return sequence. Assembly will be facilitated if during dismantling you have providently schematically sketched its sequence.
