Amaryllis – fine houseplant with magnificent flowers of the diverse colourings. It blossoms in the winter, releasing from one to three peduncles with several flowers on everyone. And it is better to replace it in the spring, in 4-5 weeks after blossoming.

It is required to you

  • - Amaryllis in 4-5 weeks after blossoming;
  • - small pot;
  • - substrate for Amaryllises.

Instruction

1. It is desirable to replace Amaryllises every year, at most each two years. It is necessary for change of soil in pots on more feeder and for stimulation of more magnificent and long blossoming. Amaryllis bulbs, especially during blossoming, extend all nutrients from the soil. In turn, they try not for themselves, and for peduncles. Therefore all power supply is given to flowers, and are exhausted and after blossoming decrease in sizes.

2. Secret of blossoming of Amaryllis – close pot. In close ware the Amaryllises blossom more willingly whereas in spacious pot of blossoming it is possible not to wait at all. After the Amaryllis has faded, its peduncles are cut off (it is possible to cut off flowers and to put in vase even at the beginning of blossoming, then the bulb will not so be exhausted and it can stimulate emergence of one more peduncle). Then the bulb of Amaryllis is taken from the soil. Accurately roots look round. It is not necessary to cut off the root system of Amaryllis at change, but if you have noticed the damaged, dried up, decayed or sick backs, they need to be removed, having powdered cuts with powder of cinnamon or activated carbon.

3. At bulbs of Amaryllis children who need to be separated at change are often formed and to replace accurately in other pot to podrashchivaniye. It is possible to put children-lukovichki everything together, densely, in one pot if there is no need to keep grade. They will blossom for the third year after office. Therefore in two years they can be replaced in individual small pots.

4. The pot for Amaryllis is chosen such size that its diameter was three times more than diameter of bulb (about 15-20 cm), and depth – no more than 20-25 centimeters (depending on the bulb size). The pot has to be heavy. Easy the plant with the released peduncle surely will overturn. Landing capacity is filled with well trained soil rich with humus. It can be purchased mix for Amaryllises and Hippeastrums or own, consisting of equal parts cespitose, sheet, the earth, humus and sand.

5. On bottom it is obligatory to put drainage. On drainage layer it is good to fill (or to put stick) mineral fertilizers of the prolonged action. The bulb plunges into substrate on 2/3 – remains 1/3 over the surface of the soil. The soil around bulb is carefully stamped. After change pot with plant water room temperature and put on light window to the warm room.
