The Chinese rose (hibiscus) is plant, very popular with flower growers. In the wild nature this flower can reach 6 m in height, and in room conditions the dwarfish hibiscuses grow slightly higher than 40 cm.
How to cut hibiscus
At the correct leaving the hibiscus can blossom almost all the year round, but that its blossoming was abundant, it is necessary to make undercutting of plant.
Usually cut the Chinese rose during the period from August to October. It is necessary to cut plant over the kidney turned outside. Before starting forming of bush, be defined what form you wish it to give.
If you wish to create low plant, then 3-4 main branches of hibiscus need to be cut off partially. After that remove radical offsprings and all weak escapes which are available on hibiscus. If you want to create the Chinese rose by the principle of standard tree, then you need to cut side escapes constantly. It is necessary to do it until the hibiscus does not reach height necessary for you. After that just cut top of plant and growth will stop. It must be kept in mind that on stalk of hibiscus there have to be 5-6 escapes. These side escapes will form krone of standard tree.
How to replace hibiscus
Change of the Chinese rose is necessary, first of all, for activization of its growth. This procedure is similar to change of other houseplants, however, if the hibiscus has too expanded and by the form reminds small tree, then it is necessary to replace it especially carefully, following number of simple rules. Before starting change of hibiscus, it is necessary it is abundant to water plant. It will help you to take out without problems roots with earth lump from pot. In new pot fill haydite. It will save plant roots from rotting in case of excess watering. Place a little soil in pot, after that accurately take hibiscus from old pot and put in new. Take the earth and accurately cover with it the main lump, at the same time slightly press lump with roots into pot to give to plant stability. In order that the bush of hibiscus has not fallen under own weight, thrust support to the earth and accurately tie to it plant. After change water the Chinese rose and cover the earth in pot with film. It will help hibiscus to take roots and adapt to new conditions quicker. In 2-3 days the film needs to be removed.
